It’s now been a whole week since my last pull up workout. I had been able to do 3 full pull ups. Guess how many I could do this morning!! NONE! That’s right. Nada. Zilch. I was surprised, but now that I look back I should have expected it. My lats (back muscles) still feel tight. And I’m getting fatter, that certainly adds to the difficulty. So I guess I’ll try again later this week. I took video footage, which was seriously embarrassing. Like WOW embarrassing. So I’m not posting it
My brother and I climbed a mountain the other day. It took us 9.5 minutes to climb, 5.5 to descend. It’s only .5 mile to the peak, and if we had rushed we could have gotten up faster. I was quite out of breath at the top - I was ahead of my brother till about 3/4 through, where he continued his steady pace and I had to stop my quick stepping pace. I decided to take off my shoes for the descent. It was actually quite nice, and I might try climbing it barefoot next time. Much more forgiving than running barefoot on pavement!
I forgot to bring a camera up the mountain, but I have been taking a few pictures here and there.

This is the starfish that is part of the stone/shell collection on the mantel. It’s pretty neat stuff if you take the time to look at it. Most often I forget it’s there and zoom by without ever looking.
This is young pizza dough - I usually make a starter of 6 cups water, 3 or 4 cups flour, 2 tablespoons yeast and 1 tablespoon salt. That sits on the counter from the midmorning till about 3 in the afternoon. Then I mix the rest of the flour in, knead it in the machine and set it in an oiled bowl to rise. Then at about 4:30pm the oven gets preheated to 495 degrees and the mini-pizza factory starts until about 6pm when all 8-10 pizzas are cooked. Yummy!
I decided to be creative with the gobs of makeup I have kicking around. I should have done both and taken a nap
And this is the bike that I went to the mountain on. I wasn’t riding it. I can barely put turn it straight from being on it’s kickstand
That makes me feel very weak! It’s fun to ride on the back of a motorcycle though, and that one has a NICE seat! So comfy.

This is what I see your comments on

The eye on your eyelid was great! Hilarious! I agree- next time you should do both and take a nap. And if you do go hiking barefoot, take pictures so we can see! : ) I had a friend who climbed down (is that an oxymoron?) Mt. Katahdin barefoot, talking about ice cream all the way while the rest of us were incredibly hungry and thirsty!!

that bike sure does have a nice wide seat!!
hey, did my sister Jenni ever tell you that she used your recipe (i can only imagine it was this one) for pizza dough recently? she’s enjoyed making homemade pizza recently, and if this was the recipe that she used the last time that we made it it was really really good!!!

Oh that’s fantastic! I really like to hear things like that. It’s great to know that people actually make the recipes I sometimes post
The dough I made the other day I did the same way except I left it in on the counter for a few hours, then made the dough up and kneaded it and stuff and then left it in the fridge overnight, coated in oil (I just oiled the bowl with olive oil) and with plastic wrap. Carol made pizza the next day and MMM, she did such a good job. The dough turned out with a crisp layer all around with a nice soft inside. It was so yummy. And I’m hungry right now. lol.
