Ok, I’ve done all these silly youtubes. Here’s one that actually took time and effort to make. It was fun to make. I know it has mistakes in it, and since it was all filmed on my bed (nearly) there’s not a whole lot of variety! And it also isn’t the style of voice in which I normally sing. It was funny because on the first recording, I sang in a much tighter, airier voice. Then on the second verse I noticed I started loosening up. So I went back and rerecorded the first part.

Just a quick language update - I finished Spanish 202 (the last course) at livemocha.com yesterday! It’s probably only the equivalent of a first year Spanish program but there was a lot of good practice involved and I know things I didn’t before. On to German. I really need to focus on this. I do not want to be floundering around for 5 years (like I did with Spanish, never really studying diligently until recently) and then have little to show. On to study

I’m currently taking lessons on eduFire.com. The community is so nice and pretty active. I like the flashcards and forums most. Check it out.

Bonnie,
Good luck with your Spanish and German - Live Mocha is a great site for that! I also want to share another one that I really like - Edufire.com. It’s an online community that brings tutors and students together for a customized learning experience. If you are interested in a free tutoring session, send me an email and I’ll get you set up!

Wow! It looks good!
You really look mexican with the lighting and all.
But I haven’t done spanish in 5 years…what is the song about, Bonnie?

The song is about a soldier who is telling someone “If you want to write to me, you know my address already. It’s on the frontlines of Gandesa, the front line of fire. There’s a restaurant there, and a moor invites you to come in. There they serve grenades for the first course, shrapnel for the second - to make you meal memorable.
EduFire people, I find it strange there there are two comments from you on the same post. It’s not spam, is it!! Hmm. Well, if you come back to identify yourselves I’ll know you’re real people at least

Sounds like an interesting meal, Bonnie. Thanks for the clarification!

Hey Bonnie,
Yes it is strange that there are two comments about that site, I agree! I have only been using that site a couple months so I don’t know who posted after me. I did set-up a new account on livemocha.com and I really like and enjoy that site. Thanks for the new resource

Yeah, quite nice! I found another one: http://www.studentteacherexchange.com They don’t take a percentage and seems completely free. It’s new, so kind of empty right now, but I think they just started so could be booming quite soon.
