Yesterday I toasted a piece of Germany bread - the kind with sunflower seeds in it. I guess it got a little harder than I expected after it sat in the toaster for a while, because while I was chewing I suddenly noticed there was something hard in my mouth. And it made a cracking noise. And when I looked at it, it was indeed white, and I realized yes, I had just broken off another piece of one of my teeth
Ok…so, yeah. That’s a joke, someone took that picture in Germany. (The licorice there is VERY black!) I did break a piece of tooth but it didn’t end up quite that obvious

But bigger news! I blog via the power of the generator that I can hear running in the driveway. There was a huge storm that came through yesterday which started with rain, turned into ice, and I think rained a bit more after that. When I woke up I thought it was odd when my coffee maker didn’t turn on when I bumped it accidentally, and then somehow it struck me as wrong that the hallway light was off, but I didn’t figure out that the power had gone out till someone told me
Gotta go for now. More update later hopefully.
Later edit: We were listening to the radio to find out what the deal was on the power coming back on, and they mentioned Monday as a possible time to get power back. Also, I just looked at the news again and it said “Monday [is] an ambitious deadline.” Sooo….this should be interesting.
It’s very warm at the moment and things are slushy, but it’s supposed to be back to 13 and 14 degrees tonight and tomorrow night.

Hi Bonnie, we have electricity but you have the warm weather! Our windchill tonight will go down to -60 degrees, with actual temperatures in the -20’s. It’s tough to have the animals in an unheated barn, but they seem to be doing okay. Jim is just going to check upstairs to see if our potatoes and pumpkins are going to freeze. Just one of those things in balmy ND. Glad you and Carol are back!
