Dear blog readers, I am now married
My then-fiance and I had a lovely ceremony on Saturday. I haven’t gotten a chance to introduce myself as Bonnie Doran yet, but I’m looking forward to it
If I started on about married life, I would mostly be distracted by something - my husband. Porter is the sweetest man alive. We both are such good friends, and I think that must make all the difference in the world. To be friends rather than two people embarking on a relationship that is based purely on romance or “chemistry.” Those two things are definitely in our relationship, but it’s not all. I’m happily sighing, but I think it might look a little cheesy to put it down as *Happily sighing.*
Thank you all who have supported our relationship and who will support our marriage, as well. I have been blessed with many comforts and happinesses.

What’s in a blog?
I am sorry for the tone I use sometimes - a definitive, I-know-it-all sort of thing. I’ve regretted that from time to time even before I got a biting letter in the *mail* about how rotten my attitude is on this blog. But you know, this blog is me talking out loud to myself. If you don’t like it, don’t read it. And that I can say definitively. And if the author of that letter is reading this, I can also say I love you, definitely!
Some things in life make me sad. There is enough badness and hardship in the world to make us continually sad. Any happiness or joy is from God above. Every good and perfect gift is from above. So thank God, continually

I (for one) really like the sound of “Bonnie Doran” and how it seems right, so easily getting used to the “ring” of it. It even sounds somewhat like the name of some kind of duet, yet not only that, but more. It nearly sounds like the name for some new variety of showy flower, one that wins blue ribbons. Perhaps I should “google this” and see if it’s ever happened that way. Well, anyway, I might have been first to comment here, had I not slept too long again.
If somebody has a better idea than marriage for two lifelong best friends who want to live together (this includes lots of actually being together) and have “whatever-century” values about romance or bio-chemistry, then this alternative is one well-kept secret. Not even the lawyers know about it.
Contracts in writing are made for legalistic spastic plastic fantastic lovers. You and Porter have what others strive or sadly sometimes just pretend to have (always have, always will). If this is not real, nothing is. And you might find this is one time you do not need to be general about your view, in regard to your specific union. I guess I don’t know what a perfect attitude is, but I’ll say I could use more, not less, of yours! Then again, I would never send you a biting letter in the mail. I like to be disgusting in public, and nice in private. That’s probably backwards, isn’t it?
There is no more perfect union than the one you’ve formed. Not even this “great” nation can claim it!

(As for the old man who damned your blog by letter: It is a very little fellow who can be enraged by this little matter of difference of media. A journal is a journal.
(And yours is an exquisite journal.)

It seems to me that you have recently made a difficult and courageous, but correct decision. Congratulations, and my very Best Wishes to you both for the Journey ahead!
