In very good news from school, I got my grades and my GPA is temporarily at 4.14, or something like that And I say temporarily, because I’m sure before long I will some upon harder courses and it will drop like a rock. Or, when I transfer to a university I’ll find that more challenging and have a more average GPA.
I’m still waiting for the SAT scores! They are to be available Thursday and I’m getting so impatient. Tsk tsk.
I’m waiting to be able to take these earrings out (that I’ve been wearing for five weeks) and wear others. That is also making me a bit impatient, being so close to the end. But I need to just relax and be happy that it’s almost the end. I’m afraid I’m going to be pretty disappointed, actually, because I’ll spend a few seconds changing the jewelry and then that will be that.
I’ve decided not to take courses this spring term, for various reasons. Instead, I will be trying to spend as much time as I would with school applying for scholarships! Writing essays, filling out paperwork, etc. I think I need to apply to at least two a week and see how that goes. It might even be fun.
I finally mailed out my check to the IRS. I filed with Turbotax.com, which was incredible – they calculated that I had to pay almost $250 *less* than the figure I had calculated doing taxes myself. That was for federal self employment, however, and I declined to file state taxes with them because they charge money to do that, and I figured hey, I can fill out a few pieces of paper myself, as I have for the past eight years or so. I know I don’t own them money (I’ll get a huge refund of $2!) but for some reason I’ve been putting it off. I guess it’s because I’m in a new state with new forms. I can’t just look at the old ones and fill out the new ones similarly (with updated figures, of course).
I just got my computer back from Best Buy with a new keyboard. A key had fallen off of mine and I didn’t want to just pop it back on there so I brought it in to get a new one. It’s so nice
My warranty is almost up, though, and it looks like this will be the last of the anonymous-computer-giver-laptop, which, because of the warranty on the last one, has lasted six years. It’s very nice to have a new keyboard, though, and if anything goes wrong in the next few days I might have a chance of getting a new computer
Wow, so this entire post was pretty much about money and grades.
I’ve just about done all of my online task that I wrote down before I got online at the library. It’s a good feeling
After that, though, I think I’m going to run out of things to do online. It seems like it used to be possible to spend hours and hours just doing nothing online. Now I can’t seem to find things to do. It feels kind of like it used to when I got home from a long trip with my family. Having not had regular internet access, I had grown accustomed to not being online and I couldn’t find that much to keep me occupied online. After a few weeks, though, I’d be at it again and waste hours online.

Happy Anniversary, you *two* one-year newlyweds! I guess depending on your preference of traditional over modern, or anything else under the sun, would you like cyber-paper or cyber-plastic for your gift(s) which I forgot to bring? You could actually have both if you like, and why not?!!
Anyhow I thought the day deserved some sort of mark in here.
Or, mark in hear: Sound of dog with speech impairment:
mark! mark!
mark-mark-MARK!
Hope you’re keeping each other safe and busy!

Thank you, Galen! Bonnie is a capital girl who can give a man a capital year. I’m grateful.
How have you been?
(Oops it sounds like I’m taking over my wife’s blog — not really — she’s around here somewhere.)
